Cheese Munchies are crispy, cheesy snacks with a hint of paprika and Tabasco, perfect for parties, casual gatherings, or satisfying cheese cravings with a crunchy twist.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups corn flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grate the room temperature cheese and cream it with the butter or margarine.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and paprika.
  4. Add the flour mixture and Tabasco sauce to the cheese and butter mixture, and mix well.
  5. Carefully fold in the cornflakes with a fork, trying not to crush them too much.
  6. Break off small pieces of the dough (about a tablespoon), roll into balls, and press lightly onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
