Ingredients

  • 3 c. shell macaroni
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1/2 c. ham, diced
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 c. diced Cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices soft bread, cubed
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package directions.
  2. Add milk gradually to the mushroom soup and blend well.
  3. Combine the cooked macaroni, milk mixture, diced ham, chopped onion, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Toss bread cubes with melted butter.
  5. Arrange the bread cubes around the edge of a buttered baking pan filled with the macaroni mixture.
  6. Bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour until bubbly and golden.
