Cheesy Microwave Potatoes

Creamy, cheesy microwave potatoes with bacon bits and onions make a comforting, quick meal perfect for satisfying cravings or a simple side dish.

Ingredients

  • 5 medium potatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 tsp bacon bits
  • dash of salt
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 or 4 slices cheese

Instructions

  1. Slice the potatoes with skins and place them in a medium microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Add sliced onion, bacon bits, salt (if desired), and butter to the bowl.
  3. Pour water over the ingredients in the bowl.
  4. Microwave on high for 10 to 12 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
  5. Add slices of cheese on top of the hot potatoes and let it melt.
  6. Serve hot.
