Ingredients

  • 8 buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 cup green pepper
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 package shredded Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown hamburger with onion and green pepper; season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add spaghetti sauce and brown sugar to the meat mixture. Simmer briefly to combine flavors.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-cup muffin pan.
  4. Spread buttermilk biscuits out flat and press into the muffin cups to form a crust.
  5. Spoon approximately 3 tablespoons of the meat mixture into each biscuit-lined cup.
  6. Top each with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake until the biscuits are lightly brown and the cheese is melted, about 10 to 15 minutes.
