Ingredients

  • 6 cups raw potato strips
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter or oleo
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 slices American processed cheese
  • 2 tablespoons finely cut fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Put the potato strips in a greased 2-quart baking dish and pour milk over them.
  2. Dot with butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Cover and bake until the potatoes are tender.
  4. Cover with slices of American processed cheese.
  5. Sprinkle parsley over cheese and let sit until the cheese melts.
