Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 15 ounces can tomato sauce
  • 1 can chili beans or kidney beans
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet and pour off excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning, tomato sauce, and beans to the beef. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.
  3. Cook the macaroni until al dente, then drain.
  4. Stir the milk and 2 cups of shredded cheese into the hot cooked macaroni.
  5. Mix the beef mixture with the cheesy pasta.
  6. Serve topped with shredded lettuce and diced tomato.
