Cherry Dream is a luscious layered dessert featuring cherry pie filling, creamy cheese, crunchy walnuts, and a graham cracker crust, perfect for special occasions or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 22 crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 8 oz nondairy whipped topping
  • 1 (20 oz) can cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine and add to crushed graham crackers mixed with sugar. Mix well.
  2. Press the cracker mixture into a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake at 325°F for 8 to 10 minutes and then remove from oven.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add milk and vanilla to the cream cheese, mixing well.
  6. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
  7. Stir in chopped walnuts.
  8. Fold in the defrosted whipped topping until well combined.
  9. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the baked crust.
  10. Top with cherry pie filling.
  11. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
