Ingredients

  • 30 large marshmallows
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 pt. whipped cream
  • crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Melt the marshmallows and milk in the top of a double boiler.
  2. Add vanilla and let the mixture cool.
  3. Whip the whipped cream until stiff and fold into the cooled marshmallow mixture.
  4. Line a 9 x 9-inch pan with crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers.
  5. Pour the marshmallow mixture into the prepared pan over the crushed wafers.
  6. Top with cherry pie filling.
  7. Let stand overnight before serving.
