Cherry Nut Fruit Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 8 oz. cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • dash of salt
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped
  • 1 lb. container candied cherries

Instructions

  1. Cream well the margarine, gradually adding 1 1/2 cups of sugar.
  2. Mix in cream cheese, eggs and vanilla.
  3. Cream well.
  4. Add flour, baking powder and salt.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Add nuts and cherries. Use a spring-form pan; grease pan well.
  7. Can use Pam.
  8. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours.
