Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 lb. box powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Beat 1 egg and butter into the yellow cake mix. Spread the mixture into a 13 x 9-inch pan. (The mixture will be crumbly.)
  2. Beat the remaining ingredients—cream cheese, beaten eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla—together and spread over the first layer.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes until the top is golden brown in spots and just firm.
  4. Cool the cake and then cut into servings.
