Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup raisins, chopped and floured
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • tart shells

Instructions

  1. Cream the sugar with the butter until well combined.
  2. Mix in the egg yolks and set aside the egg whites for the meringue.
  3. Add milk, then fold in the chopped, floured raisins, and finally stir in the flour.
  4. Pour the filling into tart shells.
  5. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes at 375°F (190°C).
  6. Remove from oven, top each pie with meringue, and bake until browned.
