Ingredients

  • 6 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (27 1/2 oz.) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 package egg noodles
  • 1 package (8 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • Italian bread crumbs or white bread
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Pound the chicken breasts flat to an even thickness.
  3. Dip the chicken breasts in water, shake off excess, then coat them in bread crumbs.
  4. Brown both sides of the breaded chicken breasts in a frying pan with oil. Remove and set aside.
  5. In a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, layer the cooked noodles, browned chicken breasts, and spaghetti sauce.
  6. Top the layered dish with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
