Ingredients

  • 6 chicken breast halves, skinned
  • 6 slices boiled ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/3 cup white Sauterne (white wine)
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Wrap each chicken breast half with a slice of boiled ham, then top with a slice of Swiss cheese.
  2. Place the wrapped chicken breasts in a large baking dish.
  3. Mix together the sliced mushrooms, mushroom soup, and white wine to create the sauce.
  4. Pour the mushroom mixture over the chicken.
  5. Sprinkle slivered almonds on top of the dish.
  6. Lightly sprinkle paprika over the almonds.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
  8. Serve with wild rice, sautéed mushrooms, and onions or noodles and potatoes.
