Ingredients

  • 2 lb. chicken fillets
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • oil for frying
  • 2 cans drained mushrooms
  • flavored bread crumbs
  • Muenster cheese

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs well and dip chicken fillets in them.
  2. Then dip the chicken in flavored bread crumbs.
  3. Fry the breaded chicken in oil until browned on both sides.
  4. Drain the fried chicken on paper towels.
  5. Place the chicken in a casserole dish.
  6. Dissolve chicken bouillon cubes in a cup of hot water and add the reserved mushroom liquid; stir well.
  7. Pour the mushroom and broth mixture over the layered chicken and add the drained mushrooms.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 45 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and cover the chicken with slices of Muenster cheese.
  10. Return to the oven and bake until the cheese melts.
