Ingredients

  • Progresso Italian bread crumbs
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1 slightly beaten egg
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • dash of onion salt
  • 4 oz. Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Dip chicken breasts in beaten egg, then coat with Italian bread crumbs.
  2. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes.
  3. Turn chicken over and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until tender.
  4. Meanwhile, combine tomato sauce, oregano, sugar, and onion salt in a saucepan.
  5. Heat the sauce to boiling, stirring frequently.
  6. Pour the hot sauce over the baked chicken.
  7. Top each piece with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Return to the oven to melt the cheese.
