Creamy, comforting chicken baked with mushrooms, Velveeta cheese, and flavorful seasonings, perfect for a hearty family dinner served over rice or noodles.

Ingredients

  • 6 chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • butter
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in a deep casserole dish.
  2. Dot the chicken with butter and sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
  4. Combine the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, chopped onion, cubed Velveeta cheese, and drained mushroom stems and pieces.
  5. Pour the mixture over the partially baked chicken and stir slightly.
  6. Continue baking for an additional 1 hour or until the chicken is tender.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
