Ingredients

  • 1 lb. mild pork sausage
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper (optional)
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 10 oz. rye cocktail bread

Instructions

  1. Fry the ground beef and pork sausage until cooked through, then drain excess fat.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the Velveeta cheese with the cooked meat and add oregano, garlic salt, and red pepper if using.
  3. Spread the cheesy meat mixture onto rye cocktail bread slices.
  4. Bake the assembled chips at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
