Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • salt
  • 1 (8 count) can crescent rolls
  • 1 pkg. dry chili mix
  • Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  2. Add tomato sauce, water, and chili mix to the meat mixture; stir well.
  3. Season with salt to taste and let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Press 5 to 6 crescent rolls on the bottom of a 9 x 9-inch baking dish with sides.
  5. Spoon the chili mixture over the crescent rolls.
  6. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese on top of the chili.
  7. Cover with the remaining crescent rolls.
  8. Bake according to the crescent roll package instructions until golden brown.
