Ingredients

  • 3 cans green chilies
  • 1 lb. Jack cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 lb. Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Butter a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Layer green chilies and cheeses in the prepared pan, repeating the layers.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, milk, and eggs until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter over the layered chilies and cheese.
  5. Cover the pan and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Uncover the casserole and pour 1 cup salsa over the top.
  7. Bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
