Juicy chicken-filled chimis with a hint of spice, wrapped in crispy tortillas, perfect for casual dinners or snacks with a flavorful kick.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups shredded chicken
  • 2/3 cup picante sauce
  • 1/3 cup green onion slices
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed oregano
  • 3/4 to 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup melted margarine

Instructions

  1. Combine chicken, picante sauce, green onion slices, cumin, oregano, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Simmer for 5 minutes or until liquid has evaporated.
  3. Brush one side of a flour tortilla with melted margarine.
  4. Spoon about 1/3 cup of the meat mixture onto the unbuttered side of the tortilla.
  5. Top with 2 tablespoons of cheese.
  6. Fold two sides over the filling.
  7. Fold the ends down to enclose the filling.
