Choc Pudding Pie

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. broken nuts (optional)
  • 1 sq. bitter chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. strong coffee

Instructions

  1. Butter a deep dish 12-inch pie pan.
  2. Mix 3/4 cup sugar, flour, powder, salt and nuts.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Melt bitter chocolate, butter and milk (can use 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, 4 tablespoons butter and 1/2 cup milk instead, but do not heat).
  5. Combine the flour mixture with the cooled chocolate mixture.
  6. Pour into the pie pan. Mix the brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar and cocoa; sprinkle on top.
