Decadent chocolate-covered toffee combines crunchy nuts and rich caramel-like sweetness with smooth chocolate, perfect for sweet cravings or special occasions enjoyed by those who love rich confections.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. water
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1 1/3 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. finely chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add granulated sugar, light corn syrup, and water to the melted butter.
  3. Cook and stir until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
  4. Quickly stir in 1 cup of chopped nuts.
  5. Remove from heat and pour the mixture onto a cookie sheet.
  6. Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Melt the chocolate and spread it over the cooled toffee.
  8. Sprinkle with finely chopped nuts and let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
