Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. quick oats
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand milk
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and margarine, and mix well.
  3. Reserve 1/2 cup of the oats mixture, and press the remaining mixture onto the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Pour the can of Eagle Brand milk over the crust, then sprinkle with chopped nuts and chocolate chips.
  6. Top with the reserved oat mixture and press down firmly.
  7. Bake for an additional 25 to 30 minutes or until light brown.
  8. Allow to cool, then cut into bars and store covered at room temperature.
