Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Sift all dry ingredients into an 8 or 9-inch cake tin or dish.
  2. Make three indentations in the dry ingredients.
  3. In the first indentation, put vanilla.
  4. In the second indentation, put vinegar.
  5. In the third indentation, put cooking oil.
  6. Pour cold water over the dry ingredients and mix with a fork until well combined.
  7. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for approximately 40 minutes.
