Ingredients

  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. (2 sticks) butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  2. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles cornmeal.
  3. Beat eggs; add sugar and beat well.
  4. Combine the egg mixture with the flour and butter mixture.
  5. Chill the dough.
  6. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to 1/8-inch thickness.
  7. Cut out shapes and place on a buttered baking sheet.
  8. Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 6 to 8 minutes.
