Instructions
- Put yeast into 1/2 cup lukewarm milk and let rise.
- Cream the butter and sugar together.
- Add eggs, one at a time.
- Mix well. Then add yeast, milk, salt and grated rind.
- Make dough pretty thick and add nuts and raisins.
- Knead the dough until smooth and not sticky.
- Let rise.
- Then put the dough on board and divide for braids.
- Bake at 425° for 20 minutes, then 375° for another 40 minutes.
- Frost with confectioners sugar frosting.
- Sprinkle with almonds and cherries.
