Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 Granny Smith apples
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Stir together butter, eggs, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl until well blended.
  2. Combine flour, cinnamon, and salt; add to butter mixture, stirring until well blended.
  3. Stir in sliced apples and chopped nuts.
  4. Spread the batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes.
  6. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  7. Spread with a cream cheese frosting before serving.
