Chunky Peanut Butter Bars

- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
- Mix the peanut butter and Karo syrup with the melted chocolate, then add the coarsely chopped dry roasted peanuts.
- Gradually add the oats, one cup at a time, and mix well.
- If the mixture is too stiff, add 1/4 cup boiling water and mix thoroughly.
- Spread the mixture evenly in an 8 x 8 x 2 1/2-inch or 9 x 9-inch pan lined with wax paper.
- Refrigerate until the bars are chilled and firm.
- Cut into squares and serve.
