Chewy, chocolatey peanut butter bars with crunchy peanuts and oats, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings and ideal for quick snacks or treat sharing.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup chunky peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped dry roasted peanuts
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chip morsels
  • 1/2 cup white Karo syrup
  • 4 cups oats

Instructions

  1. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  2. Mix the peanut butter and Karo syrup with the melted chocolate, then add the coarsely chopped dry roasted peanuts.
  3. Gradually add the oats, one cup at a time, and mix well.
  4. If the mixture is too stiff, add 1/4 cup boiling water and mix thoroughly.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in an 8 x 8 x 2 1/2-inch or 9 x 9-inch pan lined with wax paper.
  6. Refrigerate until the bars are chilled and firm.
  7. Cut into squares and serve.
