Cilantro Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 10 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tbsp cilantro chopped
  • 1 tsp Tabasco hot sauce
  • Dough
  • 1 cup self raising flour (with baking powder)
  • 1 2/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 380F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with buttered parchment paper
  3. In a medium size sauce pan heat the oil over medium heat. Saute garlic for 3-5 min or until golden brown. Remove from the heat and add cilantro and Tabasco.
  4. Combine dough ingredients in a big mixing bowl and add garlic and cilantro mixture to it.
  5. Divide the dough in half and form two loafs. Place them on the baking sheet with 3-4 inches apart.
  6. Bake at 380F for 30 min
