Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup unpeeled, chopped apple
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions
