- In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add sugar, 2 tablespoons melted butter and beaten egg; mix thoroughly.
- Gradually blend in milk.
- Pour batter into an 8-inch square pan.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon over top; also butter slivers.
- Bake in a hot (425°) oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
