Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Combine the cinnamon, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 tablespoon cinnamon and set aside for topping.
  2. Cream sugar and butter together; add eggs, vanilla, sour cream, and milk. Beat until smooth.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  4. Pour half of the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  5. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
  6. Pour the remaining batter on top of the cinnamon layer.
  7. Use a spatula to cut through the batter and swirl the cinnamon mixture.
  8. Sprinkle the reserved cinnamon sugar on top of the batter.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 60 minutes.
  10. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan, then cool completely.
