Ingredients

  • 2 sticks oleo, melted
  • 16 oz. vanilla wafers, crushed
  • 2 egg yolks, well beaten
  • 2 sticks oleo, room temperature
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 10 bananas
  • 1 large Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Mix crushed vanilla wafers and melted oleo; press into a 9 x 12 x 2-inch dish (casserole).
  2. Beat sugar, butter, egg yolks, and vanilla until creamy.
  3. Spread the mixture over the crust.
  4. Layer on drained crushed pineapple and sliced bananas.
  5. Spread Cool Whip on top of the layers.
  6. Garnish with cherries and pecans; chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
