Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Grease a 10-inch tube pan.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Combine flour, baking powder, cocoa, and cinnamon; add alternately with sour cream, beating after each addition.
  7. Stir in vanilla.
  8. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake for 75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  11. Remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
