Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 2/3 cup cold water
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 16 oz. hot roll mix
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Place cream cheese and cold water in a small saucepan and cook on low heat until 115° to 120°, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir in the beaten egg and vanilla.
  3. Stir together hot roll mix, yeast packet, and 1/3 cup sugar.
  4. Add the cream cheese mixture to the roll mix, mixing until the dough pulls away from the sides.
  5. On a floured surface, knead the dough for 5 minutes or until smooth.
  6. Cover and let rest in a warm place for 30 minutes.
