Ingredients

  • 1 envelope chicken noodle soup mix
  • 2 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 2 cups canned peas, drained
  • 1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the soup mix and boiling water.
  3. Heat to boiling.
  4. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
  5. Blend in flour and pepper.
  6. Gradually stir in the hot soup and cook until thickened.
  7. Add drained tuna and fold in drained peas.
  8. Turn the mixture into a greased 1 1/2-quart dish.
  9. Top with buttered bread crumbs.
  10. Bake for 15 minutes until heated through.
