Ingredients

  • 12 large tomatoes
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 6 red peppers
  • 6 green peppers
  • 2 c. cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Grind tomatoes and onions; add salt, sugar, and vinegar.
  2. Cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours.
  3. Add red and green peppers and cook for 20 minutes more.
  4. Cook longer if you like it thicker, stirring often, then can, seal, and process.
