Tips & Substitutions

For a little extra kick, consider adding some finely chopped jalapeños or red pepper flakes to the sausage mixture. If you don't have hot sausage on hand, mild sausage or ground turkey can be substituted. Additionally, using a variety of cheeses, such as pepper jack or mozzarella, can enhance the flavor. For a twist, try topping with fresh basil after baking, reminiscent of classic American recipes.

Serving Suggestions

Cocktail pizzas make a fantastic appetizer for parties or game days. Serve them alongside a fresh garden salad or some crunchy vegetable sticks with dip for a complete spread. For a sweet finish, consider pairing with a slice of Banana Cream Cheesecake or a refreshing Lemon 'Icebox' Sandwich to round out the meal.

Storage & Reheating

Once cooled, leftover cocktail pizzas can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes until warmed through. For longer storage, freeze them before baking, and they can be kept for up to 2 months. Just bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
