Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 lb. hot Italian sausage
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 1/2 tsp. garlic
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • 1 pkg. cocktail rye bread

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger and Italian sausage until cooked through.
  2. Drain very well to remove excess fat.
  3. Add oregano, garlic, and Velveeta cheese; simmer until cheese melts and mixture is heated through.
  4. Spoon the meat and cheese mixture onto cocktail rye slices.
  5. Can be frozen at this point for later use.
  6. Pop under the broiler until bubbly and serve at any party.
