Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Vienna bread, sliced diagonally at 1-inch intervals
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp dry mustard
  • Stuffing mix
  • 3/4-1 cup grated cheese
  • 8 oz fresh mushrooms, chopped
  • 3-4 green onions, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp poppy seed

Instructions

  1. Place foil on a cookie sheet and set the sliced Vienna bread on top.
  2. Spread the stuffing mix between the bread slices, then tightly wrap the foil and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  3. Before baking, open the foil and brush the bread with a mixture of 1/2 cup melted butter, 1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice, and 1 Tbsp. dry mustard.
  4. Seal the foil again and bake for 40 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
  5. Let cool slightly, then cut across and then down the middle before serving.
