Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons coconut or lemon flavoring

Instructions

  1. Bake a 9-inch cake layer using your preferred recipe.
  2. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  3. Cut the cake layer in half horizontally to create two layers.
  4. Ice the two halves together, leaving a rounded edge at the top.
  5. Decorate the cake with pink jelly beans for eyes and ears.
  6. Use stiff paper cutouts to make ears, attaching them to the cake.
  7. Place jelly beans at the base to resemble ears more realistically.
  8. Use a black jelly bean for the nose and toothpicks as whiskers.
