Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, stir together the flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, and baking powder.
  2. Cut in the butter or margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Combine the eggs, vanilla extract, and milk in a separate bowl.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir just until moistened.
  5. Fold in the raisins and ground cinnamon.
  6. Drop the batter by tablespoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 12 minutes or until golden brown.
