- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Drain and mash the sweet potatoes if using canned.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sweet potatoes, melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well.

- Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle walnut halves and flaked coconut evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until heated through and golden on top.
