Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon
  • 3 large onions
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 can green limas
  • 1 can pork and beans
  • 1 can white limas
  • 1 can kidney beans

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon until done, then drain and set aside.
  2. Cook sliced onions in bacon grease until limp, covering the skillet to cook slowly.
  3. Add brown sugar and vinegar to the onions and mix well.
  4. Drain all beans except the pork and beans.
  5. Add the drained beans to the onions along with crumbled bacon.
  6. Transfer to a 2-quart casserole or bean pot and bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
