Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1/2 pound Velveeta cheese
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 cup bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Cook shredded cabbage in boiling, salted water for 10 minutes.
  2. Drain the cabbage well.
  3. Saute chopped onion in margarine until tender.
  4. Mix cooked onion with Velveeta cheese and mushroom soup.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the drained cabbage in a 9 x 13-inch dish.
  6. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top of the casserole.
  7. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
