Ingredients

  • 1 lb. light brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 sticks margarine
  • 2 3/4 cups self-rising flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, sugar, and eggs until well combined.
  2. Add self-rising flour, chopped nuts, and vanilla to the mixture.
  3. Mix until a very thick batter forms.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 11-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 300° or 325° Fahrenheit for 30 to 40 minutes.
  6. Cut into squares while warm and serve.
