Ingredients

  • 3 c. Crisco
  • 4 c. brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. molasses
  • 9 c. flour
  • 8 tsp. soda
  • 4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 4 tsp. ginger
  • 2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Combine Crisco, brown sugar, eggs, and molasses in a mixing bowl and mix well.
  2. Add flour, soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt to the mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
  3. Roll the dough into small balls and then roll each ball in sugar.
  4. Place the coated dough balls on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) until cracked on top, about 8 to 9 minutes.
