Cookie Crackers combine salty crackers, rich caramel, and chocolate with nuts, creating a sweet, crunchy treat perfect for sharing at parties or as an indulgent snack.

Ingredients

  • saltine crackers
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • nuts

Instructions

  1. Grease a cookie sheet with butter.
  2. Line the cookie sheet with saltine crackers.
  3. In a saucepan, melt 2 sticks of butter and 1 cup of brown sugar over medium heat.
  4. Pour the melted butter and brown sugar mixture over the crackers on the cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 450°F for 3 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
  7. Melt the package of semi-sweet chocolate chips and spread the melted chocolate over the cooled crackers.
  8. Sprinkle with nuts.
  9. Do not refrigerate.
