Ingredients

  • sea scallops
  • mushrooms
  • onion
  • Gruyere cheese
  • mayonnaise
  • margarine
  • white wine
  • parsley
  • bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Toss bread crumbs with 1 tablespoon melted margarine; set aside.
  2. Stir together mushroom, onion, mayonnaise, cheese, and white wine; set aside.
  3. In a medium skillet, over medium-high heat, cook scallops in 2 tablespoons margarine until opaque.
  4. Remove scallops from skillet and drain well.
  5. Cook mushrooms and onion in 2 tablespoons margarine for 3 minutes.
  6. Add cooked mushrooms and onion to the cheese mixture with scallops.
  7. Spoon the mixture into 6 individual baking dishes or shells.
  8. Sprinkle with bread crumbs mixture.
  9. Broil 6 inches from heat source for 2 to 4 minutes or until browned.
