Cordon Bleu offers crispy, golden-brown bites of ham and Swiss cheese wrapped together, perfect as an elegant appetizer for gatherings or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boiled ham
  • 1 lb Swiss cheese
  • flour
  • eggs
  • milk
  • seasoned breadcrumbs
  • margarine

Instructions

  1. Roll ham and Swiss cheese slices together, cheese on the inside. Fasten with toothpicks.
  2. Dip each roll in milk; roll in flour and dip in beaten eggs.
  3. Roll in seasoned breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry in margarine until browned, turning frequently.
  5. Cut each roll into four serving pieces.
